POI Foundation Donates $2,000 to Molokai High School

The POI Foundation is pleased to announce that it contributed $2,000 to the Molokai High School.

Our gift provides funding to increase opportunities to incorporate Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) into the school curriculums.  Utilizing scientific study methods, students leverage technology to analyze native plants and animals (both land and sea).  These studies are very informative, interesting and extremely well documented.

Molokai High School Mission:  The mission of Molokai High School is to expand our horizons while utilizing Molokai’s unique community and resources. As Farmers of Land and Sea – Nā Kiaʻi mai uka a i kai (Guardians from far inland to the sea), our values stem from a true community effort of collaboration. “Kū” means “to stand for,” and these values, deeply inspired by our community and Hawaiian culture, will guide our student’s journey. These four core Kū values represent the essential qualities we hope every Molokai graduate will embody.

  • Kūpono (Integrity),
  • Kūpaʻa (Steadfastness),
  • Kūlia (Excellence),
  • Kū i ke Aloha (Standing in Aloha)

Molokai High School Vision: Molokai High School graduates honor the past, embrace future innovation and take personal responsibility for delivering excellence.
